Replaced a different brand that only lasted 18 months
Spent a few more dollars and am hoping this electric kettle lasts longer that 18 months. We use it daily to heat coffee water. What I like: Elegant design, stainless steel interior. Sits tight on base. Heats up in 5-7 minutes. What I don’t like: 1) You CAN NOT SEE where the water level is on the exterior of pot through the small narrow window behind the handle. There are no water level markings on the interior of the kettle. 2)Large hands do not fit through the lid opening to clean interior. 3) Steam, water droplets form on the exterior of closed lid as water heats and can run down exterior of pot. 4) Design does have a flaw as lid does not sit tight and water (stem) droplets form on outside of lid cover. 5) Bos it came in said there was an extra filter for pot included- it was not. It is frustrating to continually purchase what you think is a quality product based partially on reviews only to find out I either got a substandard product or everything today is just not made well.***UPDATED 16JULY2024***….Kettle no longer shuts off when heating water! I leave it unplugged when not in use and do not leave it unattended. Button on handle to open lid was no longer retracting all the way so lid would not open to refill pot. I took a dremel tool to the “catch” on the interior of lid and ground off a bit of the catch. It now opens when I depress the button. Pot is functional but definitely not quality made.

So pretty!
Bought this one for my new house and wanted a pretty electric water heater. Itâs used every single day, twice a day, and itâs worked awesome! So far itâs been durable and fits perfectly in the corner of my kitchen counter. It looks so nice and not TOO girly, just enough. The water is HOT! So always be careful and the little heating lever/button has a blue light indicting that itâs on. The only downside is that you canât really tell how filled up the water on the inside is. Thereâs a water fill level right behind the handle and itâs supposed to indicate how much water youâve filled up on the inside and itâs hard to tell. I just fill it about what I think is halfway and itâs enough for 3/4 cups of hot water. The handle doesnât get hot, the whole bottle does so always be careful when handling it after itâs done heating.

I’ve only had this one month but have used it 3-4 times a day since receiving it. I’ve used it for tea, hot chocolate, oatmeal.Pros:1. Heats quickly.2. On/off button illuminates.3. Soft matte black color looks good if you want to leave it out on your counter.4. Water viewing window lets you know when to add water.5. Lid opens at 45° (to allow steam to escape w/o scalding) and also opens fully for filling.6. Lid is attached for one handed filling.7. Side walls are warm to touch, not so hot it’ll burn me.8. Good size w/o huge footprint. When full, I can fill 3-4 large (think white Rae Dunn size) mugs.Cons:1. Really none (yet but will update if that changes!)

Pitted after 1 use.
After using the pot one time it is pitted and discolored. We do not have hard or well water I understand this can happen with use but not on day one!
