Nice Sharp Blade
I bought this mostly to cut open packages of food so that I do not ruin my expensive and sharp good knifes. But it surprised me – I use it to open packages as well as for general pairing too. Good knife that seems to have good quality metal and has a good sharp factory blade. Recommended.

Amazingly comfortable to use
So I already owned another Oxo knife. With the arthritis in my hands, the Oxo handles make life easier. This one doesn’t disappoint!

Lightweight paring knife
This style is super lightweight and has a ‘gripe’ surface handle. I have several OXO knives and this one besides it end cap symbol, there is no similarities. Rated it a 4 because it is a good daily utility knife.

Thin blade that takes a good edge and is easy to sharpen
I have never cut myself with a razor-sharp knife in the kitchen – only blunt ones that slip. So for a paring knife I was looking for an ultra sharp blade that I could keep sharp. After many disappointments (often with knives costing a small fortune) I discovered this one. It is, for me, perfect. Most paring knives feature relatively thick blades whereas this blade is thin but pleasantly taut. Out of the packet the knife effortless cut through grapes and pineapples, ginger etc.. Sharpened on a wet stone it was even better. It’s rather like a short fillet knife but with a wider blade. The most dubious part of the knife is the handle which is just molded plastic. Quite blah but entirely serviceable. Also fits my bear-sized hands perfectly – your mileage may vary.So for the price, this is an excellent, unpretentious, paring knife and way better than my Cutco equivalent. It was something of a surprise but I now keep a couple of these knives on-hand.

Nice knife
This is the best paring knife I have owned. I would greatly recommend it. The only thing you can’t put it in the dishwasher.

Very light weight and delicate
I bought an OXO paring knife the same size as this one about 20 years ago. It is starting to wear out, so it seemed like a smart idea to get another one. My old one has a bigger grip and feels balanced. I have really depended on it and it didnât let me down. Not one chip on the blade The new one has a very small size handle that is very light. The blade seems very thin and delicate. There is no balanced feel and I donât like it much. The blade is already duller than it was when I got it. I peel and chop a lot of fresh vegetables and I chop on a bamboo cutting board. This knife is not up to the task. Sad, because OXO used to be a quality product at an affordable price.

This OXO Good Grips 3.5 Inch Pairing Knife is a great addition to our kitchen! The knife is lightweight and easy to use. It’s comes very sharp and it great for opening packages of meat, slicing and dicing veggies, applies, other fruits, and we found it especially helpful for coring strawberries. Will be buying this knife also as a gift for our kids in college.

Best paring knife I ever used. I prep a lot and it is comfortable in hand after 45 minutes of prep. Handle has a soft feel to it (like a silicon feel) and not slippery, stays put. If you cook a lot, you need this knife. I will only use this knife for now on and will buy it again when that time comes.
