Right width for appetizers
This is perfect for small to medium size appetizers. Some silver colored tongs for sugar cubes advertise that they are good for appetizers but be careful because they donât all say what the opening width measurement is. These are exactly what I needed to replace cheap tacky plastic tongs for parties. Good tension in the metal, good width for picking up finger foods. Two styles with different grips to fit how slippery your food is. I ended up not having the event, but seeing and holding them I know they are just what I was looking for. Highly recommend.

Easy to use
These steel tongs are very easy to use and they grip quite a lot of items. I like it because its great for serving at potlucks and at friend’s barbeques. I also enjoy that it came in a set of two. They are also easy to wash and easy to store.

Most used serving tongs
Our family enjoys snacking trays for dinner most nights and we needed a little set of tongs for picking up various charcuterie items. These fit the bill perfectly. One set has a wide, flat end with holes for picking up and draining items in brine like pickles and olives. The other set has curved ends and tines to get a firm grip on vegetables and fruit pieces. Both pieces are a single piece of metal that allows a precise and firm grip. We’re happy to have upgraded to these little serving tongs instead forks or kitchen-style tongs. Better performance and looks than similar plastic or bamboo tongs from discount stores, too!

Not as good as other company offerings, difficult for anything but tiny items
We picked these up needing a smaller tong set as that’s the size you often need for items vs the larger serving utensils. Though solid metal construction, there are a few areas that cause them to not be recommended after using them.First, these are fixed in how far they open in order to work. Unfortunately, this means that they have difficulty with many items. In our most recent example, we used them to try and server honey bettered chicken pieces. Even though these were less than an inch wide, the tong was too narrow to pick them up effectively. It also didn’t grip well and the items kept slipping out.Secondly, and this is a combination of the packaging and how Amazon ships now, the items came bent out of shape and with minor scratching new out of the package. I’ll be the first one to applaud Amazon getting rid of heavier boxes and shipping plastic, but in this case, the paper envelop it shipped in allowed the package to be crushed in shipment and causing damage. If they intend to keep the store shelf packaging for these, they need to work with the shipper to ensure it’s going into a box and not a paper sleeve to avoid this.Overall, these are inexpensive, and will probably last forever, but I would recommend you spend the few dollars more and get one of Faberwares other quality offerings with a traditional hinge. You will be happier in the end I think and get a better product that will work in more situations.

These are nice. Really strong material and not flimsy like other tongs that bend or break with the slightest pressure. Great to use for parties.

If youâre looking for small tongs for snack trays, etc, these will do the trick! They are definitely âsnackâ-sized, so donât expect to cook with these, but tong sizes like these are hard to find, and they are really nice for more sanitary snack trays!
