A perfect replacement for the old roasting pan
Before Thanksgiving my wife told me to pick up a disposable roasting pan when I went to buy the Thanksgiving turkey. I had totally forgotten that the last time we tried to roast a turkey I had found the old roasting pan had actually rusted through. I also had forgotten that the only pans available in the grocery store the day I went were too small.There are many, many roasting pans available at all price points. What I wanted was a pan that looked like something special in the turkey roasting department, all shining and bright stainless steel with a rack inside to keep the turkey up out of the liquid fat by products of the roast. I chose the Lianyu 15″ stainless roasting pan because it was precisely what I wanted. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was also precisely at my price point and I could easily have spent twice as much.We did a slow roast this Thanksgiving and the turkey came out succulent and perfect as we planned. Later on I cleaned the pan easily which I think is probably due to the finish of the steel. It really is as good as the photographs show it to be.My wife and I were very, very pleased with this Lianyu stainless steel roasting pan and recommend it highly. (The turkey not so much)

This replaced an older pan that was a non-stick type that had started to peel. This works great and is as easy to clean as anything else you cook with…a little soaking and elbow grease takes care of it. Looks like it will last a long time, so it works for me!

So far, so good
Iâve only used this roasting pan once, and it seems to work just fine. I slow roasted two 1/2 racks of baby back ribs and it worked great! It cleaned up easily and nicely. After reading some reviews about peeling, rusting and scratching, I was a little reluctant to purchase it, but Iâm glad I did. So far, so good! If anything changes at some point, Iâll update my review.

The “tines” go straight up vs slanted towards middle. I’ve only used it once as the chicken fell over. I’m going to have to take a pair of pliers to the upright tines and bend them in towards the middle. My friend’s 40 years old version has a more HOURGLASS â SHAPE.
