Better than my last toaster
When my Cuisinart toaster gave out after only a year of use (more landfill, groan! It did have a warranty but that’s not the point), this Dash toaster caught my eye. More expensive, yeah, but I love, love my mini-Dash waffle maker. So I’m giving Dash a try. Early days but the Dash toaster is easy to use, and seems to be well-built. Most important, for a toaster anyway, it toasts more evenly, making the bread I regularly use for toast taste better than the last toaster ever did.Now, will it last? Wirecutter (the NY Times consumer product reviewers) say no new toaster will last that long due to change in the materials used to make the toasting filament but we’ll see. PS the cover is a nice add on, as it the aqua color, and wide slots that actually fit bagels.

Best toaster my wife and I have owned
We have been making toast for 60+ years and have used dozens of home toasters over that time. This is the best one of the lot (well, except maybe those old 60’s “asbestos-corded” Sunbeams, but no one should be using those anyway).This toaster even does a decent job of warming frozen slices of bread without drying them out too much. My wife initially thought the toaster lid/cover was silly, but now she loves it.
