Functionality a 10. Looks are amazing.
Love this tea kettle. Heats the water quickly and the cool looking thermometer on the front is helpful. Sturdy appliance and easy to use. I will say if it is completely full of water it’s too heavy for me as a senior. I typically only fill it up halfway.

Retro awesome!
I absolutely love this water kettle. It makes me happy looking at it. The color is a soft aqua that is beautiful. It heats the water quickly and then shuts off. No boiling dry with this pot! It looks pretty onmy counter. I really couldn’t ask for more.

Amazing kettle
This is a lovely looking kettle with retro design. It functions really well and works fast to heat water. I havenât had any issues so far after using it for 4-5 months. I tried several different water kettles which all had their own problems including water leak, heat being transmitted to the handle, etc.. but thankfully I havenât had any issues with this kettle! Highly recommended.

Rapid hot water!
Looking for a âhot water potâ, I was fortunate to come across the Nostalgic brand retro electric hot pot. Love at first sight and more so when it arrived! Everything about this pot is perfect for me. The aqua color is soothing, it heats up rapidly, shuts off when lifted and if no water is inside. The construction is beautifully made. I was attracted to the design and when I look at it, it actually makes me happy!I will buy this again for gifts.

Looks and works great so far!
I use an electric kettle several times a day. This one is an upgrade from my prior model, and it was a little more expensive. It looks better, which is good since it’s taking up counter space. So far I am happy with its performance. The lid is a little difficult for me to get on / off and the handle is not moveable.

One of my kitchen workhorses – been going strong two years and counting….
I was concerned when I bought this that it might not stand up to heavy use. But I have used it every single day for more than two years now, some times 2 or 3 times a day, and it has never failed me. I wanted something with a retro look, and the only other option at the time was a Cusineart that cost over $!50. This water kettle is pretty and a good value. The red color is a laminate, its like a shiny candy apple red. I got the matching toaster (which sometimes pops up too soon) and I wanted a matching blender Nostalgia didn’t have it so I got the Oster Beehive which came in the same red and they look great together.Update: Shortly after writing this, I had a problem with the pot. First I noticed a little water got into the temperature dial, then, it leaked. I took it off the plate and there was water on it. I tested it and it leaked again. But I figured it out and fixed it so no dings to my 5 star rating…. I was using the pot to boil water for cooking. Occasionally, I would pour out all the hot water then refill the pot right away from the cold water tap. I realized that heat expands metal, cold contracts it, and going from hot to cold like that could have loosened the nut that holds the gauge together. But its inside the pot, very difficult to get at, but a 5/8ths inch wrench will do the trick. I just tightened that nut, and it stopped leaking. However, I was stuck with some water inside the dial. It would eventually damage it, but I was afraid to take the pot apart to drain it because I have shaky hands and was lucky I was able to tighten the nut in that tight space. So I decided instead, I drilled a little hole in the bottom of the plastic cover to the gauge, and the water can drain through it…. it might take a while but it should dry out. And now my pot will hopefully continue to be my kitchen workhorse for many more years.

This product should NOT be on the UK website. It has a US plug and I had a nightmare with the seller and Amazon. Finally I got an adaptor for the UK as instructed by Amazon. The kettle went BANG and tripped the circuit with a very nasty burning smell. An electrician advised me that it is 120 volts which means it CANNOT be used in the UK and could have caused a fire. DO NOT BUY if you live in the UK.
