Great Overall
First the bad. Temperature controls are far from the posted instructions/ad’s. Setting of 1.5 to 3 is about it, over that burns most bread. Set at 2 for most cheaper whole wheat and it toast average darkness. Cleaning is a breeze with removable crumb tray. Weight of this toaster is amazingly light. Cool for the most part to the touch on the sides, the ends tend to be slightly warmer. Overall cannot complain, simple to use, has a cancel button if needed.

Good Quality!
This is a great quality toaster. I wanted to use it for a while before I did a review. It is longer and wider than I expected but I have now learned to love that about it and love all the features. I also love that if you have large specialty size bread slices that they can fit with no issues. The slots are very long and wide with no divider in each slot. Bagels fit with no issues. You can put 4 bagels halves or 4 regular pieces of toast in at one time or just 2 at a time. The timer on the side helps also with my impatience as I know what to expect since it shows how much time is left. It does not put out any heat on the sides but does put out quite a bit from the top. Not enough to be concerned unless I had something in there a long time. I do have it on my counter which sits under my upper cabinet next to my microwave and if I were to need something to be in there longer I would just pull it away from my upper cabinet so it would not be directly below it. The cord is a good length. I have not used the metal holders for anything yet to reheat or keep it warm so I cannot say how it works but I am sure it would work great with the heat it puts out. I do have a smaller kitchen and storage space is limited so I can’t put it away anywhere plus I don’t like getting crumbs in my cabinets. So, I leave it on the counter. It does take up quite a bit of space but I use it a lot, so it works out for me. The 2 main reasons I got it was the timer and the size of the slots so I can deal with the size of the whole toaster because I love the size of the slots. It also had good reviews.

I guess this is OK, but it doesnât cook the bread the same on each side
I guess this is OK, but it doesnât cook the bread the same on each side. One side of the bread is light brown and burnt, the other side is done perfectly. Two large pieces of bread (like Daveâs killer bread, )donât fit in one slot.So you have to put one piece of bread into slides. They still donât cook uniformly. But they are edible, and if you smell it burning, stop the toaster and harvest the bread immediately. The toaster is good looking, and the price was reasonable.

Saves a lot of space
This fits our space perfectly. Needed something that didn’t sit so far out onto our counter. This is very compact and sits sideways so not a lot of wasted space. Does a great job toasting the bread. Even heat distribution. I love the digital read out and timer so I can see when it will be done. Only complaint would be that both sides go down so not like normal 4 slice toaster where you just do one side. But it is much more efficient on toasting. Warming option is great too.

Lowest setting made overly browned toast, lowest setting burned bagel.
We had a long-style 4-slice toaster by Oster (nothing fancy) that lasted us probably 15-20 years. Sadly it finally quit operating, so finally had to replace it. This one looked sleek and similar in style, so thought it could be a good replacement. Not so. There were 6 settings for brown-ness. We like our toast just a golden brown, so I started by trying it on the #2 setting…..burned first set of toast and had to trash it. Next tried it on the lowest possible setting #1…..very dark toast. Still had to ‘scrape’ it off a bit. Next day made the mistake of trying to put half a bakery-size bagel inside to toast it – on the lowest setting #1 – burned both sides, and the toaster didn’t even drop it low enough to toast the whole bagel (see photo). Oh, how I wish the old toaster still worked! Returned this one, ordered a different brand toaster, and will have to toast everything in the oven until it arrives. I don’t expect a lot from a toaster, but it has ‘one job’ and I expect it to properly accomplish it. This toaster failed miserably. I wouldn’t waste your time on this one.

Wow this is a great toaster !
I have never been excited over a toaster before , but this one is easy to use and clean looks very nice in my kitchen.Very good quality and works better than any toaster I have ever had before. I cant recommend this enough and you will have good toast, bagels ect.You can use the time control to adjust to your desired level of toastyness 🙂

Is it really Elite?
After much exhaustive research in tow slot long slice toasters, reading numerous “Best” lists, many Amazon reviews, bit the bullet and bought this one. They do make a less expensive model, same toaster but does not have the Bagel function. Maybe the extra bucks is worth it? The toaster this replaced was a Dualit long slice toaster, now no longer available in the USA, only in the UK and, of course, 240v. Really liked that toaster, it was the Lite line I think? Not the same ruggedness of their top of the line but it lasted forever. But I digress, this toaster is fine…..not great, not particularly well made, some of the wires don’t heat as well as others, it is not as deep as our old one, the design is okay but not great. And it toasts okay. I don’t expect this one to last all that long but that’s oaky, it was not that expensive. Was also looking at the Breville cast, saw too many bad reviews about the overly sophisticated functions (doomed to eventual failure). Waring makes a pretty nice long slot which I might buy again (I have one somewhere else) and the Cuisinart looks like it might be worth trying, nice design and they build relatively decent stuff.Would I buy this one again? Unlikely but as I said before…..it’s fine…..

we love it
mostly for the croissant flip up holder feature. The earlier model died after a few years. this one has an LED display, Im not sure how useful it it. But, it works well for us and looks great among the other appliances

Toaster looks fine but I have no way to plug it in. Probably wouldn’t want to as it is a US 110v product. Why would you send me this?

Worked great for a few months, then 1 of the 4 burners blew. Seems consistent with others’ reviews. What I don’t understand is that its just a toaster and should last years, how hard could that be to manufacture. Don’t buy this brand, unless you just need a toaster for a few months, or it will let you down.
